Too many cars have caused a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as petrol. Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not buy private cars. Thus, the total number of cars in big cities will reduce greatly.

On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the collective efforts from the government, the public and the environmentalists.

A kind of little car may someday take the place of today's big ones. If people drive such cars in the future, there will be less pollution in the air. There will be more space for parking in cities. The streets will be less crowded. And driving will be safer as these little cars can go only 65 km per hour. The future cars will be fine for getting round a city, but they will not be useful for long trips. Little cars will go 200km, before needing to stop for more gas. If big cars are still used along with the small ones, two sets of roads will be needed in the future. Some roads will be used for the big fast cars and other roads will be needed for the slow and small ones. It's said that three such little cars fit in the space now needed for one car the usual size.

One day I was on a bus. I found an elderly woman standing in front of me. She had a big bag in her hand. "It's a virtue for a young person to help the old,"I said to myself. When I was standing up to give my seat to the old lady, a young foreigner got up quickly saying, "Please sit down."The old lady thanked him and sat down. She looked very happy.

I was a little embarrassed because I was sitting in the middle of the bus.Suddenly a pregnant woman got onto the bus. I quickly stood up to give up my seat to her. Theforeigner smiled at me. He said that he was an Australian, and was a student studying Chinese culture in China.

Some industry insiders claim, “China which used to be a state on two wheels will some day be a state on four wheels.” With the level of life raised, more families will prefer to buy cars. Cars provide speed, comfort and convenience in getting around. As the product of modern civilization, cars are likely to play a vital part in daily activities of Chinese.Obviously, cars, like anything else, have more than one face to families in China. Lets have a closer look at the present situation. We may find that though some people can afford them, crowded streets, limited parking lots and costly maintenance are headaches to private car drivers.

Although private car drivers have some troubles, driving a car indicates the trend of modern living. With low tax, sufficient highway development and parking lots, cars are bound to be household vehicles with high performance. Then private cars will enjoy more popularity.

Along with the economic growth, private cars have penetrated into a wealth of citizens lives because of its convenience features. Undoubtedly, the widespread use of cars promotes the social productivity and enhances the economic development. But we are supposed to weigh strengths and weaknesses of the popularity of cars. With the growing prevalence of vehicles, a host of problems have emerged.

To begin with, car emissions are having an immeasurable effect on the worlds climate. Solid scientific evidence can confirm this harm. Secondly, because the car depends so heavily on fossil fuels, it is a major source of carbon dioxide that causes global warming. Additionally, soaring ownership of cars puts tremendous pressure on the limited capacity of current transport system. There is a heavy urban traffic flow with frequent traffic jam. These harmful side effects of autos burden our society with unacceptable costs to human health, the environment, and our economy.

Car and Air Pollution

Cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. But it may take decades for the new models to completely replace the traditional ones.

Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not drive private cars. On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the co-efforts from the government and the public. This problem will be solved only with the help of science and technology.

Protecting the Environment

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. For example, cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and poisonous gas is given off by factories. Trees on the hills have been cut down and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. Furthermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is, in fact, threatening our existence.

The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized these problems. Measures have been taken to cope with these problems by the government. Laws have been passed to stop pollution. I hope the problem will be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.

riding bicycles can free riders from several troubles when traffic is heavy. first, riders need not elbow their way up into a crowded bus. second, they can go wherever they please when numerous vehicles hold up the traffic. third, bicycling does much good to the health of regular riders (常騎車(chē)的人). finally, riding bicycles is eco friendly(有利生態(tài)的,有利環(huán)保的`).

while bicycles are hailed as "green traffic", urban drivers are complaining about them jamming up the already tight traffic. a boiling sea of bicycles have become a headache for causing traffic jams and accidents. the problem of bicycles battling with cars is mingled with (混合) high level of urbanization (都市化) and low level of infrastructure(基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施).in my opinion, the tough problem must be solved, otherwise, the growing conflict will steadily grow worse with more automobiles on busy streets. road building and traffic control should be improved. in the long run bicycling will still be a necessary and economical supplement to the various modes of public transport provided in china the kingdom of bicycles.

Americans like to go out by car. Although more and more Chinese own cars, most Chinese still like to ride bicycles, This is determined by a lot of factors.

As we all know, the bike advances slowly by manpower, but it can be placed wherever it is convenient However, as for the car, although it can run fast by engine, it must be parked at parking places.

Most Americans live in the suburb which is far from urban areas and their working places. So they need cars to go shopping and go to work. And they also like traveling far. Thus a car brings them great convenience. On the contrary, most Chinese live near their working areas and markets. They don't need a car to go to work or go shopping.

I would like to ride a bike, because it costs little and it is easy to use and won't cause pollution.

It has been widely reported that the economic recession has hobbled young people in debt and joblessness, making themless likely to buy some of the staples of adulthood, including cars. It becomes a big problem to car company, they may have tried to hook in young drivers, like most consumer companies, they like to appeal to young people early on, but learned it was not working.

Several reasons can account for this phenomenon. In the first place, cars have become less affordable forcash-strapped young adults, and driving simple does not seem as cool as it once was. For a young adult who just coming out of college, it is almost impossibleto buy a car by themselves within 3 years. Besides, many young adults are willing to live in the place where is nearby their work place with public transportation, according to the survey, and some of them are able to catch aride with others.

In the second place, young adults are toobusy to get a driver’s license. Most young people have to spend all day longfor their job, and even work overtime. They have to fend themselves, because of it; they don’t have the band width to take on anything else. What is more, lots of young adults think that the internet may have also made driving more of a hassle than a convenience. Why drive to shopping centers when you can order virtually anything online?

In conclusion, it has become a fact that young adults have less interested in cars, however, it may be a good thing for air pollution and crude oil crisis.
